Its roots go back to 1930 and it was in 1981 that the American chapter was incorporated as an international company specializing in products for textile industry. Ashfar was founded to facilitate the export of US textile products to world markets starting as an export of various synthetic fibers and yarns to European and Asian markets. Over time, Ashfar has developed strong relationships with fiber producers all over the world. In the late 80's and 90's, Ashfar began serving the needs of the domestic market with fine quality filament product yarns from the Far East. To meet the changing needs of the American market, a new manufacturing site has been added in North Carolina to beam filament yarns, both nylon and polyester, and to service the warp knitting and weaving industries for apparel, home furnishing, and technical textile markets.
