Jointly organized by China Chemical Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) and Tecnon OrbiChem, the world well-known consulting company in the petrochemical industry, the Third China International PX/PTA/MEG Forum was held during 15-16 June 2006. The Forum was attended by more than 200 participants from leading enterprises both home and overseas, including Reliance, Invista, Chevron Phillips, IPCC, FCFC, MEGlobal, Hualian Sunshine, Hengyi Group, Rongsheng Chemical Fiber, Tongkun Group, Hengli Group, Jiangsu Shenghong Group, Hainan Xingye Polyester, Sichuan Polyester, Zhejiang Yuandong, etc. In the Forum, participants discussed hot issues of the industry, such as supply and demand status in global and Chinese PX/PTA/EG market, current status, development and structural adjustment of China's polyester industry, the profit trend in the polyester chain, influence brought by the fast expanding PTA capacity and influence brought to polyester industry by changes in textile export market, etc. Head officers from those leading enterprises also gave speeches that met with warm response from participants.
