The first year: Jinling Jinma Hotel, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, 14-19 Mar 2005. More than 200 participants from around 80 companies from 13 countries and regions took part in the first session of the Fair. Participants included major Chinese producers and end-users, and also leading overseas polyester fiber producers, distributors and traders from European and America, and end-users of polyester fibers all over the world. The first session achieved great success and laid sound foundation for coming years.

The second year: Tongli Lakeview Hotel, Wujiang, Jiangsu Province, 7-10 Mar 2006. The Fair was attended by 25 overseas buyers from 15 countries and regions, and a lot of China chemical fiber producers. Both buyers and suppliers were satisfied with their achievements during the Fair. Overseas participants also got the opportunity to acquire a close view of china chemical fiber industry by visiting local chemical fiber producers including Hengli, Shenghong and Xinmin, and Eastern Silk Market China. Local government held an explaining meeting for overseas participants on investment policies, with the mayor of Wujiang City giving a welcoming speech.
 

The third year: Cixi International Hotel, Cixi, Zhejiang Province, 26-29 Mar 2007, jointly organized by Information Centre of China Chemical Fiber Association and Cixi municipal government. With expanded product scope, the Fair attracted around 70 overseas participants of 26 purchasing and invest companies from US, Italia, Russia, and countries and regions in South Asia, Mid East and South America, etc., and more than 70 Chinese companies. Senior officials from China National Textile and Apparel Council, China Chemical Fiber Association and Cixi municipal government also took part in opening ceremony and forums. During the third year session, orders concerning around 900kt volume had been signed, mainly for polyester related products and there were also orders for nylon, polypropylene, spandex and viscose fibers. Overseas players showed special interest in China-made high performance PPS and high tenacity and high modulud PE fiber, and many had gave initial buying proposals.
 

The fourth year: Tongxiang, Zhejiang province, 26-28 Mar 2008. The overseas participants from 18 countries and regions, including France, Germany, Poland, Mexico, India and Turkey, etc., gathered in the Fair to search for business opportunities. This year’s Fair exceeded its predecessors in product scales and varieties, involving almost 100 varieties of PTA, PET, CPL, MEG, polyester, nylon, acrylic, spandex, polypropylene and vinylon fibers, re-PET, yarns, blended yarns and machineries. During the Fair, local government held an explaining meeting about investment environment. Domestic and overseas participants enjoyed face to face communication. Experts from China Chemical Fiber Association and chemical fiber producers gave speeches on analysis and prediction on China chemical fiber industry, status quo and perspective on China engineering polyester technologies, and challenges and opportunities facing China chemical fiber export.
