The 9th China International Polyester & Intermediates Forum, supported by China National Chemical Fibre Corp., organized by China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) and Tecnon OrbiChem, is held during 7-9 Nov, 2012 in Minya Hotel, Shanghai, China. Leading players from home and overseas, including BP, Far Eastern Industry, Hengli, Hengyi Petrochemical, PetroChina, Samsung, Sinopec, Sabic, Reliance, Rongsheng, Xianglu Petrochemical, Yisheng Petrochemical...etc., had gathered to exchange ideas about the polyester chain.

During the conference, participants exchanged information and ideas about status quo of polyester chain and contributed their opinions on market dynamics and perspectives, referring to the strategies for polyester industry stipulated in the 12th Five-year Plan. The programme covered a wide scope of concerned subjects including the aftermath of debt crisis, fast expanding PTA capacities, investment attraction, China’s role in global polyester trading, overview of global market, investment advices, advanced technologies...etc.

Concerning the industry at a juncture with opportunities and challenges accompanied by structural adjustment, speakers from renowned enterprises, associations and institutes all along the polyester chain, including China Chemical Fiber Association, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China PTA Association, Sinopec, Ningxia Eco-textile Industrial Demonstration Park, Tecnon OrbiChem, G.S.I. Global Service International, Bekaert Management (Shanghai), Coca Cola Company, The Fiber Year, had contributed their valuable opinions.
