Nylon industry fell from peak to bottom during the economic turmoil in H2 2008, with producers suffering heavy loss, which resulted in operation cuts. In 2009, though the aftershock of financial crisis remains, in caprolactam and nylon market there are signs of improvement. Will world economic environment continue to improve? What kind of macroeconomic policies will China adopt?

Caprolactam production in China has been expanding during H1 2009, while import volumes of caprolactam and nylon 6 chips reached record highs, amid rising prices all along the chain. Will the market sustain sound momentum in 2010?

In H1 2009, demand saw evident increase, in particular from domestic textile, tire and automobile sectors. What changes will take place in nylon upstream and downstream in 2010?

China launched anti-dumping investigation on adipic acid in 2008, and nylon 6 chip in 2009. What kind of impact will these investigations pose on nylon industry of China? What strategies will world leading players adopt, with China likely to rank, in one of the first countries to shake off the shadow of global economy downturn? What changes will be brought to world nylon industry, and what opportunities and challenges will China nylon industry greet?

To provide you an opportunity to look over those widely concerned issues and exchange ideas with other players, on the basis of previous six successful forums, Tecnon OrbiChem and China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) are again to jointly organize the 7th China International Polyamide & Intermediates Forum.

Top management from famed companies will attend the coming 7th forum, including BASF, Honeywell, Ube, DSM, Invista, Baling Petrochemical, Xinhui Meida Nylon, Shijiazhuang Chemical Fibers, Zig Sheng Industrial, Capro, Shenma Group, etc., coupled with related industry associations and governmental institutes. Besides, senior analysts from CCFEI and Tecnon OrbiChem will present their papers.
