Against the backdrop of slumping crude oil value and sluggish bulk stock market in H2 2014, Pan Zeng’en, Senior Analyst of China Industrial Futures Limited presents the speech Crude oil to rebound slightly with supply/demand conflict eased. According to Mr. Pan, while fundamental remains less optimistic, there are also positive factors such as recovering economy in the US, growing crude oil demand, better performance of EU Zone economy, and China’s economy going stable.

Cao Caijuan, Professional Analyst of China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) concluded the session with Impact on derivatives from changes in acrylonitrile fundamental. She presents an overall review on acrylic fiber and acrylonitrile market in 2014, and predicts that increasing domestic acrylonitrile capacity will encourage competition in feedstock market, and thus reduce cost pressure on acrylic fiber producers. Meanwhile, China will be less dependent of imported acrylonitrile.
